WHY IT MATTERS

Remove surface stones before the next field operation. Keep loose soil in the field and concentrate unloading at a planned collection bay.

MECHANISM & OPERATING CONCEPT

From a stony field to a planned collection point.

01 / Gather and lift

Angled rotating rakes draw surface stones toward the central pickup. Tines lift them over a slatted separator into the hopper. Loose soil falls through the bars and returns to the field. Select Pickup and enable Mechanism cutaway to follow this sequence.

02 / Manage the working pass

The tractor follows parallel passes with curved headland manoeuvres. The picker remains connected through its drawbar. The operational load limit and nearby stone density influence the collection cycle. A full hopper triggers a planned unloading trip instead of continued collection.

03 / Unload while stationary

The tractor travels to the designated bay. Travel and pickup stop before the hopper rises, the rear gate opens and the collected stones fall onto the pile. The hopper returns to its lowered position before the next movement. The emergency stop freezes the complete simulated operation.

04 / Interpret the results

Collected mass, worked area, travelled distance and unloading trips are calculated from the simulation. They demonstrate logistics trade-offs, not measured commercial productivity or guaranteed savings. Stone sizes, load limits, soil conditions and a generic machine are illustrative. Retained oversize stones need a separate removal method.

Grounded in real mechanical principles

The rake, sieve, pickup and tipping sequence follows the operating principles described by established stone-picker manufacturers. The automatic route and bay interlocks are an illustrative engineering concept.
