BGU elevated date-palm sprayer prototype
Vision-guided research sprayer that autonomously tracks date clusters from a towed platform.
About this robot
The 2009 research paper documents a physical 1:6-scale prototype with a lifted, camera-guided spraying head. Experiments evaluated target tracking while its wagon moved past a tree and along a test runway. Targeting is autonomous, while transport is provided by a human-driven towing vehicle; the demonstrated unit is a historical proof of concept.
