About this robot
Development at Chapingo began in 2014 and is described in the research team’s 2022 working paper. Voltan incorporates a purpose-designed suspension and demonstrated autonomous movement between crop rows using computer vision. Its research applications include crop monitoring, fertilizer application and crop-protection operations.
