Cable-suspended research robot for automated imaging of field crop trials.
About this robot
ETH Zurich installed FIP in 2014 and inaugurated the research platform in 2016. A suspended sensor carrier moves above experimental plots to observe crop development without driving through them. The documented version 2.0 uses multiple RGB cameras and supports phenotyping of crops including wheat, oats, peas and soybean.
