About this robot
Waikato presented the prototype at Fieldays in 2021 as part of the multi-institution MaaraTech project. Its cutting tool, nicknamed Barracuda, was designed to reduce accidental wire cutting. University reporting distinguishes pruning-hardware development from the work needed to integrate autonomous vineyard travel.
