About this robot

Alistair Scarfe’s 2012 Massey thesis documents a complete autonomous kiwifruit harvester with customised hands and stereoscopic fruit localisation. Navigation combined laser ranging with stereo vision, and orchard testing was constrained by the Psa-V outbreak. This entry identifies the original thesis prototype, not later orchard platforms.
