About this robot
The collaborative system evaluated in a paper first published in 2019 combines machine vision, flower targeting, and an air-assisted sprayer. Trials produced robot-pollinated kiwifruit, but overall fruit set remained below commercial requirements. It is documented as an experimental pollination configuration of the orchard robotics programme.
